About Us

We are the SMALL BUSINESS for the SMALL BUSINESS. We specialise in giving advice to small businesses, that accountants and solicitors do not. What makes us different? We are a firm that has owned and managed small businesses for over 20 years. Our associates include accountants, solicitors and creative thinkers but our POINT OF DIFFERENCE is that we are one of the few organisations that “have got our hands dirty” in the small business world. We do not sit in “ivory towers” providing untenable solutions via emails or documents. We get involved with the client, we understand the clients needs and situations, and work “hand in hand” with our clients to provide cost effective practical solutions.
We are not accountants, and we are not “legal eagles,” we are simply the “Gordon Ramsay” of the small business world. We specialise in retail and hospitality. Over the years we have owned and operated the following types of businesses; supermarkets, bottles shops, coffee shops, tobacco shops, butcher shops, video shops, $2 shops, bars, and restaurants. We have also provided advisory and mentoring services to hair dressing salons, pizza shops, taxi / limousine services, milk bars, gymnasiums, personal training studios, myotherapists, and photography businesses to name a few.

Case Studies

Studio One (Chadstone Shopping Centre) – Sue

“I used to run a photography studio in Chadstone. I had issues with setting up systems, paying bills and was in arrears with rent, superannuation and gst. After thorough investigations by IMPACT, we came to the realisation that the business was not profitable and I ended up closing the business. It was deemed that Studio One was trading insolvent for the last 18 months.”

Bayside Myotherapy (Elwood) – Trent

“IMPACT was very helpful when I decided it was time to grow the business. Apart from giving me advice in how to grow the business, they also convinced me to move to Elwood into a more modern set up. Since moving to Elwood, my business has grown exponentially and I now only work part time.”

Gedera Restaurant (Caulfield) – Marie

“I had been running Gedera for about 18 months when I decided to engage IMPACT’S services as I was totally burnt out and very tired. I had been working 7 days a week, 12 hours a day, and both my family and social life had suffered. IMPACT assisted in setting up systems so that the business could be semi managed, and I now only work 4 days a week in the business.”

Fitness 525 (Hampton) – Shane

“IMPACT assisted me in setting up a personal training studio. The assistance included the following; finding a suitable site, applying for tenancy, business plan and cash flows. I saved a fair bit of start up capital by utilizing IMPACT.”
